Position Description

Location: Exeter, NH

Employment Type: 32 hours a week

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with attending physicians and principal investigators to identify suitable clinical trials and recruit eligible patients.
  • Work with Cancer Center nursing staff to provide care for patients receiving therapy on clinical research trials; ensure investigational agents are administered per protocol.
  • Assist Principal Investigators with informed consent processes and coordinate study enrollment, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Ensure proper blood sampling, specimen preparation, and adherence to drug dosing and collection schedules.
  • Oversee scheduling of patient assessments, admissions, and clinic visits.
  • Document all aspects of study and therapy in electronic medical records and required databases.
  • Assess patients for therapy-related complications and communicate findings to physicians, sponsors, and in medical records.
  • Provide in-service training and act as a resource for clinical personnel, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals.
  • Educate patients on research protocols, HIPAA regulations, and trial-specific treatments.
  • Maintain communication with referring physicians and ensure accurate documentation throughout the trial.
  • Establish and maintain patient databases, ensure accurate data collection, and prepare for audits and reviews.
  • Attend tumor boards, IRB meetings, multidisciplinary clinics, and Cancer Committee sessions; prepare and present trial information for IRB submissions.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and PIs to achieve research objectives, develop strategic goals, and improve operational processes.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs and maintain required research documentation and registrations.
  • Facilitate trial contracting and budget negotiations; manage fiscal responsibilities including vendor/site payments and billing per contractual agreements

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Licensure: Active RN license in NH or other Compact State
  • Experience: 3–5 years of direct clinical experience
  • Certification: Clinical Research Certification required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Exeter, NH.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $55.00/hr.
