The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.

- Works collaboratively with members of the CareTeam to ensure that patients receive skilled nursing care that meets their individual needs. This will be measured by Picker results.

- Provides direct patient care as a member of the CareTeam.
Administers medications according to nursing, hospital, unit policy and procedures and meets outcome measures.
- Education is planned and provided according to care plan and predicted Length of Stay for every patient who is alert and able to comprehend. Family members and care givers are included in education as appropriate.
Ensures that patients and significant others receive education regarding discharge and the community services available.
- Works with the CareTeam members to manage the patient's stay in the hospital based on anticipated length of stay. Every patient has a targeted length of stay and a care plan that reflects that target.
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pre- and post-operative patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and high-quality outcomes.
- Assist with surgical preparations and monitor patients’ clinical status, administering medications and treatments as ordered.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgical teams, and other departments to coordinate timely and effective patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding surgical procedures, post-op care, and recovery expectations.
- Complete and manage necessary documentation, including FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) paperwork, disability forms, and other patient-related administrative tasks with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and nursing practice standards.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care planning and discharge coordination
